In-Person Appointments to Resume July 1 (UPDATE)

Eastover Psychological & Psychiatric Group of the Carolinas is pleased to announce that we will begin offering in-person appointments again beginning Thursday, July 1, 2021.

Per current CDC guidelines, all clinicians, staff and patients will need to be masked in this healthcare setting, regardless of immunization status. Additionally, we ask that you bring a maximum of one companion/parent/etc. with you to your appointment.

If you have been recently exposed to COVID, are under assessment for COVID, or are feeling ill, please reschedule your appointment or opt for a virtual appointment.

We will also continue to offer the option of virtual appointments for established patients for the time being. We know they have worked well for many, and will continue to offer them as long as they are covered by insurance companies and sanctioned by our licensing bodies.

So beginning with appointments scheduled for Thursday, July 1, your appointment confirmation texts will look a little different – you will have the option to choose whether you would like your upcoming appointment to be in-person or virtual.

Of note, if you are a new patient seeing one of us for the first time as of July 1, your initial appointment will need to be in-person. Subsequent appointments may be virtual with your clinician’s permission.

UPDATE 6/25/21: Many states have let the emergency orders that facilitated virtual appointments expire recently, causing licensure concerns. As a result, as of July 1, we will only be able to offer virtual appointments to patients if they are within the boundaries of North Carolina at the time of the appointment.
